RESIDENCE LIFE EXPERIENCE

UNIVERSITY HOUSING, COASTAL CAROLINA UNIVERSITY
Community Coordinator | July 2015 – December 2017

  • Provide a residential experience for up to 475 residents that addresses their development, safety, and concerns
  • Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate up to 16 Resident Advisers
  • Serve on a 24/7 on-call rotation for emergencies and crisis management for a residential population of 4,500 students
  • Adjudicate University and Housing policy violations utilizing Maxient conduct management system
  • Collaborate with Faculty-In-Residence to provide an academically focused experience through a living learning community
  • Support student engagement through implementation of the COASTAL Living Engagement Model consisting of resident interviews, contact trackers, educational programs, and roommate agreements
  • Advise a community council in their efforts to advocate for residential student needs, provide diverse programming offerings, and develop leadership skills
  • Partner with Housing Operations staff to provide safe, secure, and properly functioning facilities
  • Facilitate occupancy changes and track student engagement efforts utilizing StarRez housing software
  • Manage programming and student staff development budgets totaling $3,315
  • Lead a collaborative Hall Resource Team composed of an assigned police officer and counselor 

UNIVERSITY HOUSING, FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY
Assistant Coordinator | July 2013 – June 2015

  • Provided a residential experience for up to 831 residents in a five building complex
  • Co-supervised, hired, trained, and evaluated up to 17 Resident Assistants and 15 Desk Receptionists
  • Served on a 24/7 duty rotation for 3,500 on campus students in 10 community, suite, and apartment style halls
  • Conducted in-hall policy violation hearings and assigned sanctions using Adirondack Conduct Coordinator
  • Advised Hall Government and oversaw a budget of $4,600 for programming initiatives
  • Managed all front desk procedures including key administration and occupancy management utilizing CBORD Odyssey Housing Management System and SchoolDude software
  • Executed administrative tasks including, but not limited to, program tracking, budget management, end of year reports, and assessment of recorded intentional resident interactions

  • Served as the primary resource and contact for all clients, including athletic, service-based, and academic groups
  • Supervised, hired, trained, and 3 Lead Conference Assistants and 25 Conference Assistants using ScheduleFly

  • Participated in on-call duty rotation serving 8 halls being utilized by Conference Services
